After a lot of hard work they decide you earned the right to join but there will always be those who hate outsiders! Should start with Trading and Tech salvage (like with the outcast) they then figure hey we can always use some extra eyes and ears in the wasteland, soon or later your able to go on raiding parties and more dangerous missions. I liked the BoS in F3 and I hope that you can join them in NV.from what I've read about them back in the west it should be much harder and demanding though.
